WEA Consulting is proud to announce the release of sharedHR 7.0. In addition to the functional enhancements, this release offers our clients the benefits of a substantial investment in market research and site usability studies. When you login to the updated site today, you will experience our brand new look and feel. It is this version of sharedHR that we will officially “go to market” with at this week's NCHRA conference and tradeshow. After several years of developing a simplified, yet systematic approach to HR administration and compliance management, we are very excited about the kick off of our first public marketing campaign, and the opportunity to bring sharedHR to a broader, multi-state audience.
Listening to our loyal clients, friends and trusted advisors, whom have been steadily growing in number since 2001, we have reorganized the home page and streamlined site usability. You will notice both a new “Documents” tab and an “Admin Tools” tab in the primary navigation bar across the top of every page, as well as a new secondary left sub-menu guiding you through each section of the site. This exciting new look reflects our commitment to continue to provide our clients with a contemporary, continuous, complete and compliant human resource management system.
In addition to the more user-friendly navigation, look and feel of sharedHR 7.0, you are sure to notice the value of the new and enhanced features in this release.
We have long awaited the opportunity to provide you with a new Custom Report Generator. This tool allows administrators (and Super Managers with appropriate privileges) to easily define and sort order the fields of a custom report. Once configured, you can name and save your custom reports for future reference. Go to the new Reports tab to check out this new report writing feature.
Also new in the reports section is a Career Progression - By Department report that looks at the position and compensation history of all employees in your organization that have worked in a particular department during a certain period of time. This information can help your organization assess and plan for the career progression of your employees by targeting efforts to create meaningful job families within departments that encourage cross-training, skills development and internal promotions.
You now have more flexibility when creating and managing the Company News section of the site. All administrators can now view, edit and delete company news items which have previously expired. This allows for the revival of news that is recurrent or cyclical in nature (i.e. benefit plan open enrollments, company events or parties, company team sports announcements, etc.). And for those sharedHR clients with multiple document groups configured, you now have the ability to restrict and customize your news items for specific document groups rather than having to publish them company wide. Also, to assist your efforts to review the content you have posted to the site for a specific document group, you now have the ability to switch between and "Become Another Document Group." This new feature is very similar to the "Become Another User" and can be found in that page of the Admin Tools section.
We have further refined the automated Paid Time Off and EEO tracking systems, and have moved and consolidated the database fields for each, to allow for easier administration. You will notice that the PTO current values for your employees are contained within their own "PTO" tab in the Add/Update/Maintain Employee Data section of the site. In the coming release, the PTO History for each of your employees will also be available on this page of the site. The EEO fields have been integrated with the Record Position/Salary Adjustment feature and now appear in their own section on the "Position" tab.
We have added the two new "Help" sections to our site: Frequently Asked Questions and a Glossary of site specific terms. The content for these sections is being finalized this week and will be posted to the site soon.
New and updated model documents will also be posted to the site in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for the separate notification as to the compliance details of interest.
As always, this release includes system upgrades and refinements that continue to make sharedHR the most comprehensive, easy-to-use Human Resource Management System available.
