The dedicated team of consultants and developers at WEA has been hard at work to incorporate the new layout, look and feel of sharedHR with the vastly improved product usability and functionality offered in Version 6.0 of your HRMS. This new release is particularly exciting as it represents the first phase of the evolution of our product towards a true Employee Communications and Self Service Portal. It is now easier than ever for your employees to find the HR information of interest to them. When you login for the first time you will not only notice the appealing new Home Page, but two new primary content areas: Payroll and Benefits.

To allow for the conversion from the WEA HRMS system to sharedHR, all client accounts will be unavailable after 5:00pm today for approximately two (2) hours.

Beginning the morning of Friday, July 19th you can access your HRMS system through the sharedHR marketing site @ https://www.sharedhr.com/hrms.

What's New And Exciting About sharedHR

New Appealing and Easy To Use Look and Feel — You have to see it to believe it!

New Home Page — Designed to appeal to all users, the Home Page offers easy access to Common Forms, Customizable Company News, Resource Links and customizable User Links. The document libraries can be accessed from the Home Page through the Find a Form pick list. And for the power users, the system tracks your Recently Visited areas of the site and provides for a single click access back to the pages you utilize most. The new "Breadcrumb Trail" will assist all users in better acquainting themselves with the new layout and design of the site pages.

Benefit and Payroll Modules — We have added these two new modules to allow you to better organize all HR information provided to your employees:

New and Updated Content — Provides for more meaningful organization of the information and documents on the system. In addition to the original content (Handbook and Policies, Recruiting & Hiring, Reviews, Leaves and Separations), a new section called Compliance and Laws can be found in the Human Resources module. Here you will find the State and Federal Postings and other helpful information about wage and hour laws, disability leaves, safety, discrimination and other regulations.

Employee Specific Documents — As a first step towards paperless, on-line staff files, you can now upload completed, employee specific review forms when entering a performance review record. When a manager runs the Performance Reviews report for his/her employees they can view the attachment that corresponds with the entry in the report. No more requests for hard copies of old performance reviews. We will continue to develop this capability for other employee-specific documents in future releases.

New & Updated Model Documents — Over the course of this year we have updated many of our model documents and have added a number of new ones, particularly in the Leaves of Absence section. Look for the documents in your libraries with the red Last Updated Dates. The red date indicates a document that has been updated since you last customized and updated the model for your organization. You may want to review our updated model to determine whether or not you should incorporate policy changes within your organization.

General & Management Report Enhancements — Many of the reports in the system have been enhanced based on feedback from our clients. Most of these changes are minor and will likely go unnoticed. However, we believe your reporting needs will be better met while balancing the importance of employee privacy concerns. As most of you know, privacy is a hot new compliance issue (particularly in California). WEA designs reports with a philosophy of limiting access to confidential information to a "need to know" basis. Please contact Client Services if you have any questions or concerns about the contents of our General Reports and Management Reports.

Update Company Departments — Our Administrators will appreciate the upgrades to the Company Department(s) section of the site. We can now more easily accommodate any reorganization of departments that your company implements while preserving the integrity of your employees' historical data.

Update Benefit Elections — This Administrator set up screen has been enhanced to render it more user-friendly and meaningful. This section of the site allows clients to track the enrollment details of each employee for the various benefit programs available to them.
